The 18-hole, 250-acre, Memorial Park Golf Course, was designed by John Bredemus. The course had been a simple 9-hole course on sand before it was made over by Bredemus. The courses added a new clubhouse and lighted driving range when it was renovated in 1994. Memorial Park Golf Course is known as one the best city-owned golf courses in the country.

The 156-acre, Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, can be found on the western boundary of Memorial Park. The Arboretum features nature education opportunities for adults and children. This nature preserve has over 5 miles of trails through wetland, forest, pond and meadow habitats. Also, the Arboretum is open seven days a week.

Home prices in Fleetwood range from $185,000 to $420,000. These are spacious homes in a variety of styles.

The average home size is 3,200 square feet and the average lot size 8,300 square feet. Most homes in the original part of Fleetwood were built in the 1970s.
